We receive lots of reports of blocked drains but did you know, most blockages are preventable?

Things you shouldn't flush or pour down the sink:

• Baby wipes
• Nappies
• Sanitary pads
• Cotton wool make up pads
• Hair
• Cooking oil and fat
• Plasters
• Dental floss
• Cigarette butts
• Cat litter
• Paper towels
• Baby wipes

It's our responsibility to maintain drainage, pipes and plumbing in your home, however blockages caused by misuse are our customers' responsibility.

If we are called out to clear blockages that could have been avoided, you may be re-charged. By following our advice, we hope this won't be necessary.
