Check your appliances if your electric is tripping

Electric tripping? It could be a faulty appliance.

Check your appliances by:

  • Unplugging all electrical appliances including the big ones (washing machines, fridges etc) and switching off your cooker and shower at the isolation switch
  • Reset your electrics at your fuse box, by flicking the switch that says RCD into the ‘on’ position
  • Plug all appliances back in one at a time
  • If the electrics trip when a particular appliance is plugged back in, it is faulty and will need repairing or replacing

If your electric is still tripping after carrying out an appliance check, please get in touch with us.

Treat small areas of light mould

To treat small areas of light mould in your home, mix one-part white vinegar and one-part water. Leave the mixture to work for an hour, then wipe away using a damp cloth.

If you prefer, you can also use a pre-mixed white vinegar mix or a fungicidal spray available in most DIY shops.
