Consumer Standards Consultation: Share your views

Share your feedback! The Regulator of Social Housing is seeking views on proposals for standards that social housing providers must meet so tenants live in safe, quality homes, have choice and protection, and can hold landlords to account.

The Regulator has issued four draft consumer standards which set out the specific expectations and outcomes that all registered providers will be expected to achieve.

  • The Safety and Quality Standard
  • The Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard
  • The Neighbourhood and Community Standard
  • The Tenancy Standard.

Consultation questions

The Regulator would like to know whether its proposed standards:

  • Cover the right areas
  • Set the right expectations of landlords
  • Are easy to understand for both landlords and tenants.
