Regulator grades FCHO highest rating

15/12/2022

The Regulator for Social Housing (RSH) has graded FCHO the highest possible rating of G1 V1 in their regulatory judgment.

The grading follows an assessment known as an In-Depth Assessment (IDA), that took place in September 2022. The IDA’s happen every three to four years for all housing providers, where the regulator looks in detail at a provider’s viability (its ability to meet financial obligations), its approach to value for money and its governance.

A grade is then awarded based on the evidence provided. The ‘G’ stands for Governance and the ‘V’ is for Viability, with ‘1’ being the highest grade for each area.

The judgment also means we have retained our previous G1 V1 rating, awarded following our 2018 IDA.

Our chief executive Donna Cezair said: “This is a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of our financial strength, coupled with robust investment plans and prudent assumptions in our business planning as an organisation. It demonstrates that despite the tough economic climate, our regulator can see we have clear strategies to deliver on our priorities and provide the homes and services our customers and communities deserve.
