Tackling domestic abuse: we’re backing Greater Manchester Police’s week of action
06/01/2025
This week we’re supporting our friends at Greater Manchester Police to raise awareness of and take action to end domestic abuse.
We know the devastating impact it can have on individuals and families and if you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, you are not alone and we can help you get the support you need.
How we can help
You can always speak to a member of our team if you or someone you know is affected by domestic abuse. We will listen to you to understand the situation, agree the next steps and link in with local organisations to support you.
Call 0161 393 7117 or email safeguarding@fcho.co.uk.
If there is an immediate danger or risk of harm please ring 999. If you can’t speak press 55 on the keypad and you will be put through to the police.
Sarah Aldred our Director of Customer Services said:
“We provide homes for thousands of people in Oldham and surrounding areas and employ more than 400 colleagues, sadly some of whom may be affected by domestic abuse.
“As an anchor organisation and one of the biggest employers in the borough we take our safeguarding role extremely seriously. We work with professionals from local agencies and organisations including Greater Manchester Police, Oldham Council, and NHS to prevent and tackle domestic abuse, which we know can shatter lives.
“If you are affected by domestic abuse, do speak to us or report it to the police and get the right help.”
