West Vale team hosts visit by our Group Chief Executive

This week we hosted our Group Chief Executive, Delroy Beverley at a visit to our exemplar West Vale development to see the fantastic progress underway.
Delroy joined our Development team and Caddick Construction colleagues for a tour of early construction works at the site which we’re transforming into a contemporary, sustainable mixed-tenure scheme to meet local housing need.
We’re delivering our 88-home West Vale project with contractor partner, Caddick Construction.
We have developed plans to build 26 two, three and four-bedroom family houses for shared ownership, along with 62 one and two-bedroom apartments for affordable rent at our flagship development.
All homes will be off gas, with a high energy performance rating, and use latest green technologies including air source heat pumps and additional insulation, which exceeds the minimum required by Building Regulations, to help residents save energy and money.
Commenting on his visit, Delroy said: “I was delighted to have the privilege to visit our West Vale site this week and witness history in the making.
“This is by far, the biggest and most complex development scheme that FCHO has embarked on to date and will provide more crucial, much-needed affordable and sustainable housing to improve the lives of local people.
“We’re on a journey through this project, working with Caddick Construction, Oldham Council, local residents and businesses to create a vibrant neighbourhood where people can thrive and I look forward to seeing the project progress.”
Caddick Construction began enabling works on the West Vale project in January this year and all new homes at the development are due for completion in winter 2024.
